As we get into the Summer of 2016 we have a few announcements.
First off...in addition to the blog we are now going to be maintaining a monthly(ish) newsletter. We'll be using this to send out announcements, events, and any other pertinent gym information. If you're on FrontDesk you're probably already added to the list or if you want to be sure you can use the widget on the right to sign-up. We're hoping to get the 1st Newsletter sent out tonight...if you don't want to be part of the mailings you'll be able to unsubscribe and I promise it won't hurt my feelings.
Next item of business is our Summer Schedule! We've already started with the Saturday Swim WODs and next week we will be officially switching over to our Summer class schedule. This means that the 8:00am class will now be offered every Monday - Friday morning....and not just Monday / Wednesday / Friday.
Also for the grand finale of summer announcements, for the first time in the past 5 years we will be adding a dedicated Middle School & High School class! The classes will take over the Monday - Thursday 3:00 to 4:00 time slot with Monday & Wednesday being the Middle School group and Tuesday & Thursday for the High School crowd. We'll be updating our Pricing page shortly but in the meantime the Kids will be the same rate as our Student Punch Passes (5 for $60 -or- 10 for $100). Current members will have the option of adding a student to their plan for an additional $75/month.
If the Middle School / High School program is something you're interested in please let us know, we'll need a waiver for each student and can get that to you in advance.
WORKOUT OF THE DAY
- Work up to a Max
- Drop weight to 80% and perform 1 x 2
- 4 x 3 @ 60% of 1RM
- Focus on speed, try to increase weight 10lbs from last week
Core / Complex
- Day 1: 2 Sets of 10 GHR's or Back Extensions + 6 DB Split Squat (each leg - rear leg raised)
- Day 2: 2 Sets of 10 YTW's (go light) + 10 Chin-ups
